Faith Fair

  • Date:
  • Place: Campus Commons
A smiling visitor holds an English translation of the Quran at the MSA table as a man stands behind it.

Our table at the 4th annual Faith Fair on the Campus Commons — questions about Islam, trivia, and dates to share, alongside faith groups from campus and town.

The fair ran from noon to 2 PM on Thursday, October 8, on the Commons between the library and Rekhi Hall. On a beautiful fall day, we shared the space with Cru, Grace United Methodist Church, the Thomistic Institute, St. Albert the Great and other faith groups.

Our display board introduced the five pillars of Islam, and its “Same God, Different Prophets” corner showed Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. Visitors could also try our “Guess the Fact” trivia cards, with questions such as which country has the most Muslims (Indonesia) and which woman has a whole chapter of the Quran named after her (Mary, the mother of Jesus).

On our table

  • English translations of the Quran
  • Pamphlets about Islam
  • Dates in paper cups
  • “Guess the Fact” trivia cards
  • “Ask a Muslim anything” tent card

Thank you to the Faith-Based RSO Council for organizing the day, to everyone who stopped by our table, and to our MSA volunteers. Everyone is welcome at MSA, so come say salaam at our next event.
