Ramadan Awareness Day

  • Date:
  • Place: Van Pelt and Opie Library
A man in a gray-and-black sweater talks with a visitor in a red jacket across a table of pamphlets in the library.

Students stopped by our table in the Van Pelt and Opie Library all afternoon to ask what fasting during Ramadan is really like.

For Ramadan Awareness Day on Tuesday, February 10, we set up in the library’s first-floor display space with dates, pamphlets and a lot of patience for questions.

The conversations covered what Ramadan is about: fasting, reflection, charity and community. Our favorite part was the questions we did not expect.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and to the library for hosting us. Everyone is welcome at MSA, so come ask us anything at our next event.
