Festival of Nations

MSA cooked and served all day at the 37th Annual Festival of Nations — mandi, baklava, gulab jamun, and a dessert duo for the whole Keweenaw.

The work started well before Saturday. Our volunteers spent the week cooking, then loaded a truck and brought everything to Dee Stadium in Houghton for the Festival of Nations and Multicultural Food Festival on September 19. It was a team effort from the kitchen to the serving line.

Ahead of the festival, Keweenaw Report / MyUPNews came to campus to talk with us about the day and about how MSA keeps international students connected throughout the year.

At the stadium, people lined up at our table. Thank you to everyone who came and ate with us, to Michigan Tech International Programs & Services for organizing the festival, and to our MSA volunteers. Everyone is welcome at MSA, so come say salaam.
