K-Day 2026

  • Date:
  • Place: Chassell Centennial Park

We welcomed new Huskies at Table 11 for Michigan Tech’s K-Day — free snacks, trivia, and great conversations. Everyone is welcome.

K-Day, short for Keweenaw Day, is Michigan Tech’s yearly student involvement fair, organized by Student Leadership & Involvement. This year classes let out at noon, and shuttles ran from campus to Chassell Centennial Park, where student organizations hosted tables through the afternoon.

Our volunteers set up Table 11 before the fair opened, then took turns at the booth until it wrapped up. Besides the treats, we had handouts and a standing sign showing how to join MSA on Involvement Link. The sign invited everyone to come say salaam.

Our president summed up the spirit of the day in our recap video: “We are representing all the Muslims here, but we are not just for Muslims. Anyone can join our activities.”

At Table 11

  • Free snacks
  • Guess the Fact trivia cards
  • Handouts and a sign-up sheet
  • A sign showing how to join MSA

Thank you to Student Leadership & Involvement for organizing K-Day, to the Huskies Pep Band for the energy, and to every MSA volunteer who helped at Table 11.
