Assalamu Alaikum
Secretary of State Clinton’s deputy chief of staff is a Muslim woman who started out with her as an intern. Secretary Clinton, as the first lady, has publicly acknowledged this intern’s contribution.
President Clinton used to be an intern as well far before he became the President.
So interns do great things. Please announce this internship program with your community announcements after Juma and forward it to your loved ones.
Apply before November 2 deadline
All college students can apply. There are internships for high school students as well.
If you secure this internship, you can apply for a $6,000 fellowship as well.
This announcement is for full time, paid and unpaid, internships for Summer 2010. Interns serve for a period of 10 consecutive weeks during the Summer. There are many vacancies throughout the world.

Congress must join the civilized world and expand Medicare for all Americans
A single, nonprofit source must run a universal health care system that covers everyone. Medical bills are now the #1 cause of bankruptcies and evictions in this country. Medicare for all will end this misery. The bill to make this happen is called H.R. 3200. You must call AND write your members of Congress and demand its passage, no compromises allowed.
Each of us must get into the daily habit of taking 5 minutes to make four brief calls:
* one to the President (202-456-1414),
* one to your Congressperson (202-224-3121)
* one to each of your two Senators (202-224-3121)
To find out who represents you, click here. Take just one minute on each of these calls to let them know how you expect them to vote on a particular issue. Let them know you will have no hesitation voting for a primary opponent – or even a candidate from another party – if they don’t do support Medicare for all Americans. Trust me, they will listen. If you have another five minutes, click here to send them each an email. And if you really want to drop an anvil on them, send them a snail mail letter!
Here is a script which you may want to modify for yourself:
“My name is ___________ and I live in ____________. I am calling to let you know that I support Medicare For All and I want you to end the five-year waiting period for legal immigrants in Medicaid, Medicare, and CHIP. I believe all people including immigrants should be treated fairly when it comes to health care reform.”
